Although retailers announced this card to be 12 pipelines, with a clock speed similar to that of an X800XL, it is much more than that! By default, this card had 12 pipelines and ran at clock speeds of 400MHz (core) and 980MHz (memory). What retailers don't tell you is that this card has the R480 GPU. What the heck do I care, or what does it mean, you ask? Well which other card has this? Nothing less than the X850XT Platinum Edition (540Mhz core, 1180Mhz memory)! Utilizing the same memory and core as the X850XT, the pipelines are easily unlocked to the full 16 (already done), increasing frames per second while gaming and using other applications. Not only that, but using overlocking tools like ATiTool, this card has a lot of potential! Currently this card is set at 400MHz clock, 980Mhz memory (default) with 16 pipelines. You can leave it as it is, which still makes this card a very good card, or you can overclock it! The choice is yours. I guarantee this card against DOA. This card works great.
